With a lifelong interest and participation in the arts both professionally and personally, my focus has always been the intersection of creating community and exploring creativity.
After working at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto for several years in arts administration and film programming for the Community and Educational Programmes department, I developed a love of presenting, curating and helping to realize creative visions.
A writer, improviser and musician. I am always looking for ways to make things better, to deepen and enhance creative experiences and help to build community. The arts have always been a home for me ever since I was small. I enjoy participating in improv, theatre and music and I have studied culture, music, film and theatre as well. I’m also developing scripts and working on creative projects locally and enjoy playing music (even if it’s just for myself).
After becoming a parent and seeing how the arts impact my own children and their ability to build resilience, have empathy and introspection - I want to help families bring the arts into their lives.
And as a mom, I want to help kids and parents find paths of growth and belonging, in a place where they feel welcome and connected.
I am excited to be a part of the Star Family and to help contribute to an environment of inclusion, creative growth and belonging.
