Maddison Eby


Maddison Eby is a dedicated dance teacher, choreographer, and educator based in Waterloo, ON. She has been a member of the Star Performance Academy family for 19 years, both as a dancer and teacher. Maddison holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance Dance from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Maddison has trained in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, modern, lyrical, musical theatre, and hip hop. She enjoyed a successful competitive dance journey, earning titles, scholarships, and awards in various styles. In 2018, she received the title of Senior Miss Dance Canada at the Dance Canada solo finals. She also represented the IDO Canadian Hip Hop Team in Italy and completed her Advanced II RAD exams. While pursuing her post-secondary training at TMU, she was honored to receive the Pamela Hackett Award for Excellence in Dance.

Maddison’s passion for teaching dance and choreographing began through her involvement in the assistant teacher mentorship program and summer camps at the studio. She was further inspired by her roles as a high school dance team captain, and her work as a choreographer/performer in Toronto’s dance community. In addition to teaching, Maddison is a board member of the Ontario Secondary School Dance Fest. 

Maddison is passionate about teaching, choreographing, and continuous learning, motivated by her goal of helping dancers express themselves and create a nurturing environment where they can shine. She shares her passion for dance with students of all ages, finding inspiration in their enthusiasm and dedication. Maddison is excited to inspire the next generation of dancers and share her passion for dance!
